Who IS Omi?

In 2022, after over a decade of being known as “the resourceful friend” and the designated organizer and planner in friendship and academic groups from age 14 onwards, Naomi Etukudo (AKA Omi) committed to launching event planning services.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for refinement, event planning and artistry have always been intertwined in Omi’s life.

From planning multiple elaborate local and international surprise parties to working in residence at the University of British Columbia on the planning and marketing of first-year events; Omi is new to the industry, but certainly not new to the job.

Two Trick Omi founder, Omi, is pictured wearing a green silk halter dress, holding a cream cheescloth napkin while reaching over a table set with a dark green tablecloth, burlap runner, flowers in vases, faux-wood charger plates, and gold cutlery.
Two Trick Omi founder, Omi, is in a welding workshop. Omi is wearing a burnt-orange-coloured welding jacket and blue jeans. She’s slightly bent over, using an angle grinder to polish an iron sculpture and sparks fly from the metal.

Omi’s Bachelor of Fine Arts ignited her interest in equity and environmental preservation. From working with scrap materials to build structures and sourcing flowers from local farmer’s markets or sustainable florists to learning ASL and adding image descriptions across this website, Omi believes gatherings and artistic endeavours should prioritize each other and our planet. She views an alignment between ourselves, our communities, and nature as fundamental to the art of gathering, connection, and creation.

Omi may be the perfect match for you if you’re looking for events or art that eloquently considers everything and everyone.
